Wharfside Village Hotel & Parrot Club CasinoIf you’re the sort of person that likes to mix up how they spend their time when they’re on holiday then you will no doubt take a few books, book a trip and do a bit of sightseeing. If you’re in St. John in the US Virgin Islands then you might also want to consider heading to the Parrot Club, which has regularly been voted as the Best Entertainment Center by the Virgin Islands Daily News. When we say ‘regularly’, we mean every year since the venue first opened its doors in 2008. That is impressive going, so you might want to pop along and see what all of the fuss is about even if you’re not someone who likes a flutter.

The Casino

Parrot Club casino gaming

Gaming is very much at the top of the agenda for the Parrot Club, which can be accessed after just a short stroll from the beach and the ferry docks. As with most of the casinos on the US Virgin Islands, slot machines an electronic gaming are put right at the front of the agenda. There are more slots than in most casinos outside of Las Vegas, so if you have a favourite game then you will stand a very good chance of being able to find it here. Even if you don’t think you’ll be able to find the slot that you love the most, you’ll definitely be able to experience a few others and no doubt find a new one that you’ll love from then on.

Table Gaming

There are progressive jackpots on offer, teasing you about how much money you stand to win, in addition to the more local-based ones that boast their own jackpot amount. Of course, not everyone loves slot machines so it would be entirely understandable if you were in that category. That doesn’t mean that there won’t be something else for you to spend your time on, though. If you a poker fan then you’ll be able to enjoy some time playing that, whilst roulette lovers will be pleased to see there are electronic roulette machines available for you to sit at and while away some time waiting for the sun to cool down outside. Blackjack lovers will be happy to learn that that is a game that they can spend some time amusing themselves with, whilst keno is also on offer to mix things up a little bit.

Slots

Ultimately, though, it is the slots that dominate proceedings at the Parrot Club, making it the sort of place where you can avoid conversation with others if you really want to. Pretty much every form of game on offer here is electronic in form, so if that’s not something that floats your boat then you might not spend as much time in the casino as others, all things considered. You might also discover that you like slots more than you first thought!

Entertainment

Because the Parrot Club is an entertainment venue, it is about more than just what you can gamble your money on. Its beachfront location means that you can pop outside for a drink or to soak up the atmosphere, whilst the excellent cocktail menu is to be enjoyed during your visit. It is worth bearing in mind that the Parrot Club underwent a huge rebuild after the devastation wreaked upon the area by a series of Category 5 hurricanes in 2017. Hurricane Irma in particular caused damage, including ripping the original ‘Lucky’ sign of the venue from the wall and depositing it elsewhere; now it is a tourist photo spot.
