Aruba FlagA constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Aruba is based over just shy of seventy square miles and has a population of about one hundred and ten thousand. Gambling is legal and regulated on the island, with casinos allowed to operate provided that they’re either within or connected to a hotel.

Aruba is joined in the Caribbean by Curaçao, and Sint Maarten in terms of being part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Dutch seized the island from Spain in 1636 and, though it has had numerous countries claim ownership of it ever since, remains part of the Netherlands. Generally flat and riverless, Aruba’s white sandy beaches make it an attractive destination.
