It goes without saying that the Bahamas is one of the most beautiful places in the world to visit, promising you a gorgeous place to spend a trip thanks to its size and diversity. Promising as many as 16 major islands, it is little surprise that millions of people wish to visit the 100,000 square miles available in the country.
Sometimes, though, you might need a break from the clear ocean and golden sands, with those of you in Bimini, the westernmost district, able to spend some time in Resorts World Bimini. Not only will that allow you to escape the sun, it will also present you with the chance to have a flutter or two.
The Casino
The most noteworthy thing about the Resorts World Bimini Casino is the fact that it boasts panoramic water views. It claimed to be the first casino in the world to offer such a view, which is jaw-dropping in nature. The floor-to-ceiling windows, you can spend your time alternating between looking at your cards or the slot machine’s screen to staring out at the beautiful marina. The location of the marina is such that you can effectively sail right up to the casino and put your boat up in the Mega Yacht Marina before heading inside to enjoy the Bimini-style gaming on offer on the extensive casino floor in the venue.
Table Games
In terms of that casino floor, it is based over 10,000 square-foot, being live-action in nature. That means that you can sit at tables and engage with other players, the croupier or dealers as you play most of the table games that have become commonplace in casinos nowadays. Whether you like to roll the dice on the craps table or enjoy the tension as the ball spins around the roulette wheel, the choice is yours. Should you wish to picture yourself as something of a James Bond style figure, you can sit at the baccarat table. Alternatively, the blackjack table offers a game that is easy to understand but not simple to win.
Electronic Table Games
If you like table games but aren’t quite so keen on spending time speaking to others, including the dealers, you can opt to spend time on one of the 21 electronic table games that are present on the gaming floor. They include all of the table games mentioned above, plus an Interlock gaming area. Should you consider yourself to be something of a high-roller then you’ll no doubt be delighted to learn that there is a section of the casino aimed specifically at you. In fact, the only thing that you can’t do at this casino that you can do at most is place a sports bet, with the venue drawing that to a close at the start of 2024.
Slot Machines
There are more than 160 slot machines on offer around the casino, which appeal to those who tend to like to keep themselves to themselves and not really engage with others. Games such as Black Diamond Deluxe, Gold Bar 7s and 88 Fortunes are all on offer on the slots, so if you have a favourite game then there’s a good chance that you’ll be able to find it.
Hemingway’s
Should you wish to, you will be able to sneak away from the casino floor to Hemingway’s, an in-casino eatery and sports bar that shows live events on the big screens that you can watch whilst you chow down on some chicken wings or a gourmet burger.
The Resort
Resorts World Bimini is just 50 nautical miles from the coast of South Florida, making it unsurprisingly popular with Americans. Found on the seven-mile stretch that makes up the island of Bimini, it is all about the golden sands and turquoise waters when you make your way out of the casino and begin to explore. There are 305 rooms in the Hilton hotel that gives you somewhere to stay whilst you’re there, but it is when you get outside of the hotel that you really get to start experiencing life in the Bahamas.
Facilities & Amenities
For starters, there are 16 bars and restaurants on-site, giving you the chance to eat and drink to your heart’s desire. If you’re heading to the resort in order to relax and unwind, you can pick one of the four pools that allow you to do just that, catching some rays and having a snooze on a sunbed or sipping a cocktail. There is a lagoon pool located not far from the water, or you can opt for the infinity pool that is found on the top floor of the hotel.
That is also where you’ll find the Serenity Spa, should you wish to go that one step further in your relaxation requirements. Should you be the kind of person that loves live music, the piano bar and lounge might be just what you’re looking for, or you can opt to hop on the tram to explore other places.
The Local Area
The free tram moves between Bimini Beach to the casino, the hotel and Paradise Beach, also stopping at Fisherman’s Village along the way. The tram also calls at the Resorts World Bimini Cruise Port, which is the Bahamas’ second-most popular cruise port to call it. That, of course, means that the casino can sometimes get busy with cruise passengers looking to have a flutter whilst they’re on the island.
If the Cruise Port isn’t for you then Fisherman’s Village might be, offering an array of different restaurants and stores that make it both a marina and a marketplace. With 136 floating boat slips, this is where you’ll want to be parking your vessel if you’re sailing in for a quick visit.
